What is EV CDL?
EV CDL is a specialized all-electric commercial drivers training program that promotes how to safely and efficiently operate an All-Electric Semi-Truck in real world operations, Day 1 on the job. Advanced hands-on training will take place at charging depots nationwide and will give attendees an in-depth educational experience NOT provided in an automatic and/or manual, diesel focused, State CDL certification.
The rigorous EV CDL Certification program was designed to ensure that Commercial Drivers within the all-electric class-8 industry are fully trained to operate an EV Semi-Truck safely and efficiently. Further education programs for existing CDL drivers is a top priority and we believe there needs to be a bridge course to aid in the transition to a sustainable transportation industry.
Additional safety not yet seen in the freight industry. A wide range of benefits include increased safety (reduced number of crashes and fatalities) for the driver and the drivers surrounding eco-friendly Class-8 Semi-Trucks, reduction of driver error, decrease in mental fatigue, lane departure assurance and proper high-voltage charging techniques.
